The Avenger 220 Cruise continues with the typical cruiser styling of the previous model, though a healthy dose of chrome gives it a distinct traditional character. The low slung seat, long wheelbase, new windshield and new sweptback handlebars improve its comfort during long hauls. The fuel tank carries the brand new insignia, along with flashy chrome decals. Other updates include a softer seat, wider rear tyre, redesigned mirrors, spoked chrome wheels and a chrome cover for the oil cooler. The instrument console now gets a digital display along with an analogue speedometer.
The Avenger 220 Cruise continues to use the tried and tested 220cc DTS-i engine from the Pulsar 220. This single-cylinder oil-cooled mill delivers 19bhp and 17Nm of torque through a five-speed transmission. The engine has been tuned to offer better low-end and mid-range torque, to improve the motorcycle’s usability in the cities. It also gets a new high bass silencer for a louder and distinct exhaust note.
